Understand your usage
Credits and storage measure different things.
Credits measure metered operations during the active plan period. Storage measures the Cloud content and saved versions that remain in the account.
Credits follow the plan period
The account compares credits used between the current subscription start and end dates with the allowance included in the plan. A new billing period starts a new usage counter.
Rate multiplied by units
Each metered operation has a unit, such as request, delivery, generation, second, word, view or response. Its credit cost is the active rate multiplied by the billed units.
Every charge remains traceable
The account history records the date, reason, source, model, billed units, credits and resulting period usage. Account-specific rates take precedence over the global table below.
Storage does not reset monthly
Current Cloud content and recoverable versions both count toward storage. Removing old versions reduces storage; it does not return credits because storage and credits are separate limits.
Version retention is configurable
Versions can be kept for 7, 30, 90, 180 or 365 days, or indefinitely. The default is 90 days unless the account selects another option.
Shortening retention acts immediately
Saving a shorter period removes versions already older than the new limit. The current Cloud item is not deleted, but those expired snapshots are no longer available for restoration.
Inside the account, Usage and credits shows the current-period counter, the complete charge history, active rates, current-content storage, version storage and the retention selector.

All active global rates are shown. File Transformer calculates its cost before processing based on the operation, size and number of files; in the API, this estimate is added to the API request rate. Public tools do not deduct credits and allow five completed transformations every 24 hours without registration. An account may have specific terms that replace fixed rates.
