Description

Non-destructive editor to compose video, audio, images, text and subtitles on a layered timeline. Save an editable project and delegate the final render to FFmpeg.

How to create the service

In Cloud > New Item, select Video Studio, defines name and folder and creates the project. You can also open a video from Cloud through its editing action; the project is created or opened with that file as an initial resource.

Interface and controls

The canvas shows the composition at the current instant. The player includes restart, playback, time scale and time references.Resources adds video, audio, images, texts and subtitles. The timeline contains layers, folders and dragable clips; its visual order goes from the top layers to the bottom according to the hierarchy shown.Inspector edits properties of the selected item and History manages changes.Export Sets the render.

Full workflow

  1. Sets size, aspect ratio, background and canvas guides.
  2. Add Cloud resources or import SRT/VTT subtitles.
  3. Create, rename and sort layers and folders; move clips between them.
  4. Adjust start, duration, trim, position, scale, turn, opacity and speed.
  5. Set audio, casts, text, subtitles and visual correction.
  6. Play the mount, check the history and save the project.
  7. Select container, codec, resolution, FPS and quality and generate the video.

Supported files or data

Supports videos MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI, M4V, WMV, MPG, MPEG, OGV, TS, M2TS, 3GP, FLV and MXF, in addition to the audio and image formats enabled in Cloud. Subtitles are imported from SRT o VTT. The actual reading depends on the demuxers and codecs included in FFmpeg.

Configuration options

Includes canvas and background; layers, folders, lock and order; input time, duration, cut and speed; position, size, rotation, opacity and flip; volume, silence, normalization and casts; text and subtitles; resolution, FPS, quality, bitrate, container and codec. Codec selector displays only options compatible with the chosen format.

Output and export formats

Export MP4, WebM, MKV, MOV, AVI, M4V, WMV, MPG, MPEG, OGV, TS, M2TS, 3GP, FLV or MXF. According to the container allows H.264, H.265, AV1, VP8, VP9, MPEG-4, MPEG-2, WMV2, Theora, ProRes, DNxHR, FLV1 or H.263. Not all combinations are valid; the interface filters them automatically.

Saving, downloading and sharing

Save retains the project, layers and resource references. The render can be saved as a Cloud file or downloaded. From Cloud you can download the original or a compatible transformation and share the service;Users manages access between accounts.

Limits and technical requirements

Requires FFmpeg and FFprobe. Duration, resolution, FPS, number of layers and codec determine time and resource consumption. Professional or modern codecs may be slower or not compiled on all servers. Removing a Cloud resource used by the project may prevent previewing or rendering it.

Common errors

  • Thumbnail or absent video: checks the URL of the resource, its visibility and that FFprobe can analyze it.
  • Cannot move a clip: check if the layer or clip is blocked.
  • Codec not available: switch to a combination offered by the selector or review the FFmpeg build.
  • The render is pending or failing: reduces resolution or complexity and verifies queue, time space and process logs.

Privacy and data processing

Files remain in Cloud storage and the project saves references and editing parameters. renders create new files. Check rights to use images, music, voices, fonts and subtitles before publishing or sharing.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is the preview identical to the result? It is an approximation; FFmpeg produces the definitive render.
  • Can I keep empty layers? Yes, they are only eliminated by explicit action.
  • Can I change a cape clip? Yes, drag it vertically and drop it into another compatible layer.
