Description

Excalidraw-based visual whiteboard for sketches, wireframes, explanations, and hand-drawn-style diagrams in Cloud.

How to create the service

Open Cloud > New item, select Whiteboard, enter a name and folder, and create the service. The editor opens with an empty scene.

Interface and controls

The toolbar includes selection, hand, rectangle, diamond, ellipse, arrow, line, drawing, text, image, and eraser depending on version. Properties control color, fill, stroke, typography, opacity, and order. The canvas supports zoom and navigation; undo, redo, library, save, and export complete the flow.

Full workflow

  1. Define the purpose and create main elements.
  2. Add shapes, arrows, strokes, and text.
  3. Select, move, resize, rotate, group, and order objects.
  4. Apply consistent styles and adjust framing.
  5. Save the editable scene regularly.
  6. Export an image or share the Cloud service.

Supported files or data

The service stores Excalidraw scene data as JSON in its payload. It can include compatible images when supported by the editor and selector. Libraries use Excalidraw-compatible elements; a raster export does not retain editable objects.

Configuration options

Options include object type, position, size, rotation, order, groups, locking, links, color, fill, stroke style and width, borders, opacity, typography, alignment, canvas background, grid, zoom, and library according to the integrated version.

Output and export formats

The main result is an editable JSON scene. Excalidraw normally exports PNG or SVG, with background, scale, and scene-data options depending on integration. Verify export before deleting the original service.

Saving, downloading and sharing

Saving updates the scene and creates a previous version where applicable. Exported images can be downloaded or added to Cloud through available flows. Share the service from the list and use Users for account access.

Limits and technical requirements

Scenes with thousands of objects or large images can slow the browser and increase payload size. The editor requires JavaScript and operational Cloud storage. It does not validate semantic or technical diagram rules.

Common errors

  • The scene does not load: check valid stored JSON and referenced resources.
  • An image disappears: confirm that it is embedded or still accessible in Cloud.
  • The browser becomes slow: split content or reduce images and objects.
  • Export has a different background: configure background and transparency first.

Privacy and data processing

Scenes can contain sensitive text, images, and annotations. Keep them private and restrict users where needed. Review content outside the viewport before sharing because hidden or distant objects may exist.

  • Can an exported PNG be edited as objects? No, retain the Cloud scene or a compatible Excalidraw file.
  • Can elements be grouped? Yes, to move and order related sets.
  • Does it validate technical diagrams? No, it represents them visually only.
