Description
Service for distributing shared or unique promotional codes through a public page with assignment control.
Use cases
- Deliver discounts, invitations, or access codes.
- Distribute a code batch without duplicate assignments.
- Build a public campaign with its own design and terms.
- Review and export available and delivered codes.
How to create the service
Select Cloud > New item > Coupons, enter a name and folder, and configure the campaign. Add or generate codes and define form, access, design, validity, and status before activation.
Interface and controls
Tabs contain content, codes, form, styles, access, preview, and assignments. The Cloud selector adds images. Design controls cover card, header, fields, button, decorations, and text. Header actions save, test, and activate; the assignment view filters and exports deliveries.
Full workflow
- Define purpose, title, description, validity, and terms.
- Choose a shared code or upload/generate unique codes.
- Configure requested data, duplicates, and access rules.
- Customize design, images, text, and call to action.
- Test assignment without consuming production data where possible.
- Activate and share the page.
- Monitor stock, assignments, and exports.
Supported files or data
The service stores codes, settings, and assignment data. Codes can be entered manually or generated using available options. Compatible Cloud images can be used for headers or backgrounds. Exports contain codes and associated fields according to permissions.
Configuration options
Options include shared or unique mode, quantity and generation, dates, status, limits, form, messages, call to action, authentication, restrictions, width, colors, backgrounds, typography, borders, shadows, spacing, images, decorations, duplicate control, and availability.
Output and export formats
The service produces a public page that validates participation and displays or assigns a code. Stock and assignments can be exported in formats such as CSV, XLSX, ODS, JSON, XML, HTML, or PDF when enabled.
Saving, downloading and sharing
Saving retains the campaign and versions. Activate the public link or embed only after codes are ready. Users shares administration inside Apification. Download a copy of codes and assignments for reconciliation before closing the campaign.
Limits and technical requirements
Valid assignments cannot exceed available unique codes. Plan, credit, date, and access limits apply. Concurrent delivery must use the public flow to prevent assigning one code twice.
Common errors
- No codes remain: add stock or close the campaign with an appropriate message.
- Duplicate code on import: normalize spaces and case and remove duplicates before activation.
- The campaign is unavailable: check status, validity, and access.
- One person receives several codes: adjust identification and duplicate policy.
Privacy and data processing
Collect only data required to deliver and audit the coupon. Explain purpose and retention, and obtain separate consent for marketing. Protect the full code list and never expose it in uncontrolled public resources or exports.
Frequently asked questions
- Shared or unique code? A shared code is reused; a unique code is consumed on assignment.
- Can assigned codes be reused? This is not recommended unless campaign terms expressly allow it.
- How do I avoid running out without warning? Monitor stock and configure the no-availability message.
