Edit and mix multitrack audio inside Apification.

Audio Studio

Audio Studio

Description

Non-destructive multitrack editor for mounting, recording, processing, and exporting audio within Apification. The project retains track and clip organization without modifying the source Cloud files.

Use cases

  • Mount podcasts, interviews, radios or musical pieces.
  • Cut recordings, remove silences and combine multiple fonts.
  • Apply volume, panorama, casts and effects by clip or track.
  • Extract or prepare audio from a video resource.

How to create the service

Enter Cloud > New Item, select Audio Studio You can also open a compatible audio file from Cloud and choose its editing application; the file is incorporated as the first resource of the project.

Interface and controls

The central zone contains the player and timebar. The timeline organizes clips on tracks and folders, with controls to rename, block, silence, assemble the recording and rearrange.Resources adds Cloud files or a recording;Inspector collects properties, effects, casts, markers and regions;History allows undoing, redoing or recovering states. The export header defines the range and final formatting.

Full workflow

  1. Add audio or video from Cloud, or grant permission to the microphone and record.
  2. Create and sort tracks and folders; drag each clip to the necessary track and position.
  3. Cut ends, divide, duplicate or remove clips and adjust volume and panorama.
  4. Configure effects, casts, markers or an export region.
  5. Play the mixture, correct levels, and use the history when necessary.
  6. Choose project, region or track, configure the output and generate the file.

Supported files or data

Supports audio formats as resources MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A/AAC, AAC, OGG, OPUS, AIFF, AC3 and WMA. You also accept compatible videos to use your soundtrack. Decoding availability depends on the build of FFmpeg installed on the server and that the file is not corrupted or protected.

Configuration options

It allows to select track, position and duration; volume, panorama, silence, locking and recording; equalization, compression, noise door, filters, echo, reverberation and tone; input and output casts; markers and regions. In export range, format, bitrate and sampling frequency are configured.

Output and export formats

Generates MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, OPUS, AIFF, AC3 or WMA. WAV, FLAC and AIFF do not use bitrate with loss; the rest applies the selected bitrate. The result may correspond to the entire mixture, a region or a track.

Saving, downloading and sharing

Save preserves the editable project and its Cloud references.Generate and Save creates a new file in Cloud;Generate and Download delivers the render to the browser. The resulting file can be downloaded or shared from the Cloud listing, while Users grants access to other Apification accounts.

Limits and technical requirements

The render requires FFmpeg and sufficient time space. Recording needs microphone and HTTPS permission outside local environments. Long projects, many effects or formats without compression consume more time, memory and storage. Browser previewing can simplify effects that do apply to final rendering.

Common errors

  • The editor does not load the audio: checks that the resource remains available, compatible and can be decoded.
  • Cannot record: enable the microphone for the site and use HTTPS.
  • Export fails: review FFmpeg, available space, range duration and source codec.
  • You can't hear a clip: verifies volume, silence, time position and that the track is not blocked for the intended operation.

Privacy and data processing

Resources and projects are stored with Cloud-configured visibility. Microphone capture only starts after browser authorization. Before sharing voices or conversations, confirm that you have sufficient consent and permissions.

Frequently asked questions

  • Is the original file modified? No. Editing is non-destructive and rendering generates a new file.
  • Can I move a clip between tracks? Yes, dragging it vertically and then adjusting its temporal position.
  • What's the difference between saving and exporting? Save preserves editable project; export produces a reproducible audio file.
